Tick tock...
It's almost time.
Time for what, you ask?
Time to pack up my entire life (it's half packed already!) and move to the other side of the country. It's starting to feel WAY more real now! We've ordered our wedding bands, we've started to buy furniture to turn his bachelor pad into a home (all he had was an awesome TV and TV stand - typical boy!), we're acting more responsible with our money (Crazy, right?)...
There are so many milestones in life that you don't really think much about until you're there:
- Graduating from diapers (although, I suppose YOU technically don't realize when this happens)
- Starting school
- Starting high school
- First kiss
- Graduating high school
- Starting post secondary
- Turning 19
- Getting a degree
- Buying a car
- Starting a real grown-up job
- Buying a home
- Getting MARRIED!!
- Having your own kids
Wow - when I put it like that, it's almost time for the full circle to close!! Eeeeeep!!
The End of an Era?
The adventure is over. Nah - I'm being dramatic!
After more than 3 weeks in the city of Toronto, I'm heading back to Vancouver. Still trying to get over the fact that 3 weeks can pass by so quickly! But it was an amazing 3 weeks... spent my time working, with the future hubby, getting our engagement pics done, cooking mounds of found, exploring different parts of the city and lots more!
...and now it's back to reality? Well, I don't know about that... life is pretty good in Vancouver too! No complaints! :)
The Hunt is on...
...for the perfect wedding dress!
It’s a lot harder than it sounds. Seriously. I’ve gone to practically every shop in Vancouver – and even a few in the States and in Toronto… but there’s still nothing tickling my fancy! And the clock just keeps ticking… Luckily I still have some time since the reception that I’m wearing it at in a few months after the wedding – but it’s still stressful knowing that I have no idea what to wear.
To be honest, I’m extremely tempted to just buy a fabulous pair of shoes and work my dress around that (Really – not joking... mainly because I know I'd be able to find MORE than a few pairs of fabulous shoes).
Some wedding lines that I’m currently coveting over:
- BHLDN (Anthropolgie’s Wedding line)
- Elie Saab Spring 2011 Bridal Collection
Any other suggestions?
Lucky Me.
I'm a lucky girl. No, really.I'm serious.
This Valentine’s Day, my man and I couldn’t be together – I’m living on the West Coast and he’s on the East Coast… BUT what a thoughtful man I have.
Case in Point:
An express post package arrives for me… what could it be? I was thinking scarf or a blouse… but no, because that would’ve been thoughtless. Instead of I receive homemade (from scratch might I add and made by my man) chocolate almond truffles. Made with love and shipped over as fast as they could get here… MMmm…
I think I got me a keeper! Luckily we’re getting hitched THIS YEAR!
Happy Valentine's Day!!
Just say 'I Do'
it's a beautiful night we're looking for something dumb to do
hey baby i think i wanna marry you
is it the look in your eyes or is it this dancing juice
who cares baby, i think i wanna marry you

Princess Treatment
Once upon a time, at a luxurious venue in one of the best cities on our fair earth, a fabulous and beautiful princess and a dashingly handsome prince were wed...
That's right. That's the story - or at least it will be for the 100's of brides that were at Creme de la Creme Grand Wedding Showcase today at the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver (myself included).
Not only were, us, bride-to-be's treated like royalty but we got to meet dozens and dozens of potential vendors, do food tastings, cake tastings, check out invitations, watch a haute couture bridal fashion show... I felt like a princess!
Beware: I could get used to this.
