I Digress...
In fact, I always digress. And you know what I digress to (without fail)? Food. Always food. Or cooking or restaurants and recipes - but it's always food. So what am I think about right now? You guessed it! Food.
More specifically, I'm thinking about this fabulous cookbook that I got for my birthday from one of my closest friends. I'm thinking about all the fabulous recipes in the book and when I'm gonna find the time to play with some concoctions! More importantly, creating something fabulous from the cookbook will let me use the even more fabulous crystal cakestand that was another birthday gift from my best friend!
Ok - I can see the pattern here too. Cookbooks, Cakestands, Recipes... I digress.. (go figure!)...
ps. As much as I love cooking and eating - I stay healthy and in shape by practicing yoga :)
The End of an Era?
The adventure is over. Nah - I'm being dramatic!
After more than 3 weeks in the city of Toronto, I'm heading back to Vancouver. Still trying to get over the fact that 3 weeks can pass by so quickly! But it was an amazing 3 weeks... spent my time working, with the future hubby, getting our engagement pics done, cooking mounds of found, exploring different parts of the city and lots more!
...and now it's back to reality? Well, I don't know about that... life is pretty good in Vancouver too! No complaints! :)

Cooking. Up. A. Storm.
That’s what I’ve been doing of late. And maybe it’s because I’m out in Toronto and HAVE to cook – but to be honest, I’ve really been enjoying it. Having the kitchen to myself, the freedom to try new things (knowing that the man will eat just about anything!), and the ability to be creative with my recipes (not everything taste good out of a book – improvise, improvise, improvise!). Yum.
What have I whipped up in the last week, you ask? Well, here’s a few of the items:
- Stuffed mushrooms (my own recipe oozing with goat cheese goodness)
- Veggie pesto pasta (with fresh basil!)
- Thai red curry (with extra spice)
- Banana bread (no dairy required!)
