Vancouver: Home of the Stretchy Pants?
Okay, I have to admit - born and raised in beautiful British Columbia and really living and breathing West Coast culture can blind you from unseemingly style blunders.
Home of the bum-hugging stretchy yoga pants, I really wasn't too shocked to learn that Vancouver was near the top of the Worst Dressed Cities in the World (MSN) list. It's sad, but true. We don't see anything wrong with going out for a coffee with friends whilst sporting yoga pants - while in other cities, they're wearing casual blouses, cute crops and printed flats.
Although, I think as we grow older we mature in our dressing as well - now dressing more situationally specific than for comfort (plus, who says you can't have comfort AND style, right?). I'll admit, I used to fall victim to this before I knew better.
There's a time and place for stretchy yoga pants - at the gym, at yoga/pilates, or while on a run. But beyond that, there are always other options. Just sayin'.

The adventure is over. Nah - I'm being dramatic!
After more than 3 weeks in the city of Toronto, I'm heading back to Vancouver. Still trying to get over the fact that 3 weeks can pass by so quickly! But it was an amazing 3 weeks... spent my time working, with the future hubby, getting our engagement pics done, cooking mounds of found, exploring different parts of the city and lots more!
...and now it's back to reality? Well, I don't know about that... life is pretty good in Vancouver too! No complaints! :)
Spring in my Step!
As the official first full day of Spring... I couldn't think of a more apt title. And it holds true, I do have a certain spring in my step. Although there could be many, many reasons for this:
- I got my heels fixed today (while I waited barefoot in the underground PATH - need I say more)
- I've overdosed on the americanos today
- I've been living the good life in Toronto for almost 3 weeks!
- It's pleasantly mild in Toronto (considering...)
- I'm so busy at work, it's energizing!
- Or of course, it's the first full day of Spring!
Whatever the reason - I'm happy to be feeling light, energetic, smiley and everything in between. [Notice that's its well in the afternoon now - not even Spring could cure my "Monday-morning-already" syndrome].
I Found my Heart in Paris
So a while back I left my heart in NYC... well as fate would have it, I also left a part of my heart in Paris.
There's just something special about these time lapse artistries.

Paris Je T'aime
I swear it. The city of love, lust and lights is calling me. I think it knows that I was meant to live there...
It's the people, the culture, the food, the lifestyle - Parisien's really enjoy life to the fullest; and yes, sometimes they do take themselves rather seriously... but honestly, have you seen how they dress? Everything about Paris and the parisien lifestyle is enviable. Even if I could immerse myself in that culture for a few months, I'd be happy.
One day... let's hope in the near future... this dream will become a reality

Beauty never sleeps
Dusk may be the best time to visit English Bay in downtown Vancouver... and Vancouver just may be the most beautiful city in the world.
I know, that's a huge statement to make - but did you know that Vancouver was voted the most livable city in the world? Don't believe me? Click here. That's right - the ocean, the mountains, the nature, the people -- all weaving their magic to create beauty that never sleeps.
